The Arab Center for Alternative Planning (ACAP) monitors the plans and the implemented projects by the Israeli authorities in East Jerusalem, which aim to change the Palestinian identity and the characteristics of the city. Since the occupation in 1967, the municipality of West Jerusalem and the successive Israeli governments, supported by Zionist / settler institutions, have sponsored several Judaization projects under the guise of developing infrastructure, and providing basic and modern services to all citizens of the city. In fact, these projects seek to link East Jerusalem with the western part of the city, forcibly and artificially transforming them into a connected municipal entity, and to impose a political reality that negates Palestinian demands that East Jerusalem serve as the capital of the Palestinian state according to the twostate solution .
